Rachel Mullins and David Hedrick co-wrote this ballad in March of 2013.
Rachel joins HEDRICK on "Take Me Back" to tell the darker side of a classic love story. She sings the lead and harmony vocals, and plays the tambourine on this track. Ella sings backing harmonies and sets the song's unique mood with the nyckelharpa. David frames the picture with percussion, guitar, and banjo, mandolin, keyboards, and bass.

Take Me Back
by Rachel Mullins and David Hedrick
Take me back, take me back to my pillow
Take me back, take me back to my dreams
When I sleep, I can see, you’re here next to me
Together we, are curious and free
You said you would never leave me
You said you would always stay
Me and you, you and I, together ‘til we die
So I guess, I’ll let you have your way
Call out to me softly
One last walk with me
Meet me down, meet me down at the river
Lay with me, lay with me in the stream
Close your eyes, grasp the ties that brought you here to me
It’s not goodbye, it’s what you wanted, see?
Call out to me softly
One last walk with me
Take me back, take me back to my pillow
Take me back, take me back to my dreams
When I sleep, I can see, you’re here next to me
Together we, are curious and free
